Grrl, this piece is intense, evocative, incredible... Besides that, it oozes a captivating essence of being on the edge of figuring out something; and a winsome homesickness.
It is really, really, amazing.

I usually only get to read such incredible prose in a book.

But do be careful what you wish for! We're having that kind of cold right now.
