So these pesky little itty bitty ants of doom have invaded our house....and it has been my mission for the past couple days to seek their destruction. I have tried several natural methods with limited results. Apparently ants don't like baby powder, bay leaves, or vinegar. So for about a week, those were my main arsenal. I'd whip those pups out

Luckily, I don't get ants in the house (since my house is about 3 feet above the ground). I DO, however, get bumper crops of spiders. LMAO Some trade-off. :D

We've had random ants in the house throughout the winter, not a whole bunch, and they mostly only show up on the weekends. Although if there was a small bit of food on the floor, they came out of nowhere and flocked to it (I don't think a flock of ants is the correct terminology, but I like the way it sounds).

Anyway, we went out to feed the ducks tonight, and on the way back there was a huge dirt spot on the sidewalk next to our house. Oh, wait, that's not dirt, it's thousands of ants! We watched them for a little bit and then Nathan went and got the ant killer stuff. It seemed to slow them down quite a bit, and we expect to go out tomorrow to find a massive dead ant colony.

we just got invaded by those little bastards this afternoon-- i dowsed 'em w/ windex and then captured a few spiders and poked them in a crack i *think* the ants are coming from.. we'll see how they like that! ha! =D
