I'm glad you liked it! It is hard to find this pairing, but it has so much energy, especially since they went for so long without knowing their real relations. Plenty of time for things to develop.

And as for Leia, well she often gets written as virginal, especially in Leia/Han stories. But she's aggressive and self-determined in every other part of her life, so why not this one?

I, too, am pleased that Luke was not a Jedi saint and that their farewell was human enough for Leia. This was seamless from the ROTJ ending, nice, and you included the big news of the day, Vader's death and the Emperor's defeat.

Thanks! While Luke has tremendous self-control, his feelings for Leia (even staying clear of attraction) are rather strong. And I think he'd have a hard time denying her something she asked of him.

Plus he's been through so much emotionally on the Death Star, I just saw him as needing that comfort as much as she.

The coolest thing about this fic is how it could so easily fit into canon. I really liked the moment when she realised their intense post coital serenity was based on their sharing the same womb. Incest has always fascinated and this is the first Luke/Leia I've read where neither was dark. Nice.

Thank you! Sex done right can be the gateway to real emotional openness, and since they're so close anyway I saw it as bringing them into this unmatchable world of intimacy.

I think it would be way different and way creepier if the physical relationship didn't start before they knew, though. Kind of like the set of fraternal twins in Britain who were adopted separately, but ending up marrying each other without knowing the truth...
