Oh this is a beautiful piece! Your Beru is so wise, warm, and wonderful. The ending brought tears to my eyes. The whole mundane reality of her baking biscuits just gave it that much more OOMF. Very nicely done.

Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it. I love Beru, but she was harder to write "first person" than I thought she would be. So I'm relieved that someone has thought I wrote her well.

I have still to read a lot of the fic here myself, so I'm on catch up mode!

Oh, God. This was so touching! I really like that you had Beru secretly overhearing Anakin's admission of killing the Tuskens, and how that colored her views on him. And how, in spite of that, she never doubted Luke's sense of self and his potential.

Sorry I'm so late in replying, life has been hectic of late! I'm thrilled you liked this little piece. I adore Beru and I believe she, and Owen, are the reason he turned out so well! I'm a great believer in nurture - although nature also has it's place.

I think perhaps Beru even had a little of the Force herself and believed in Luke to the end.
