I'm sorry to hear about your grandpa. As awful as it feels, I can relate to the feeling of just wanting him to be at peace. When my grandpa passed, I remember making this decision to not ask him to hold on, to not say "Hey, get better soon so we can get you home!" -- for that same reason. He had been fighting for so long, and he was so tired. And I think that, at 89 and having been through everything he'd been through, he absolutely had the right to make that decision for himself. Even though it still broke my heart.
With that said, though, I hope this is just a tiny bump in the road (?? ugh), and that he's doing better soon. If he chooses. Bleh. Love you. ♥
