Was this study abroad? It's funny how culture shock can be so similar across such different cultures - when I studied abroad in Germany, I had communal bathrooms, too. I didn't realize they were co-ed, though, until I walked into the bathroom one morning and a male German student wearing nothing but a towel serenely cruised past me. When I told my (European) resident advisor about it, she only raised her eyebrow and essentially replied, "Wet, half-naked German boys? Nothing wrong with that!"

I was actually on a working holiday at a ski resort (although providing everything goes to plan, I'll also be doing a year abroad starting in September.) & hopefully this isn't too weird but I totally used to follow Mobile Disco - fantastic blogging *_*

I miss travel blogging! There's never a shortage of anything to say when everything is so new. I wish I'd done more study abroad during college; I don't know when I'll have the chance again!
