OCD update

Well, tomorrow I am seeing my current OCD therapist - hopefully for the last time!  I have got a referral to a new one, a consultant psychiatrist with a rather promising sounding name.  I feel more relaxed about the whole thing now.  It's become obvious to me that my current therapist and I can't work together.  I will give this new one a ( Read more... )

Well, my performance review yesterday was actually fine.  My manager seemed generally very pleased with my work, and had no complaints.  So that's one thing off my mind.

I had my second session with my OCD therapist last week, and I found it just as frustrating as the first.

I really feel she is not sufficiently behind me in my anti-OCD struggle.  It's not just that we disagree on method.  She actually doesn't seem to see OCD as that bad a thing.  She keeps reminding me that "it is important to be careful".  As if ( Read more... )

This evening I made some gluten-free chocolate brownies, using ground almonds instead of flour.  Also contained pistachios, walnuts and prunes.  Very sticky and nice.  (Also very rich - you only need a small piece at a time!)  It's ages since I made cake, and I quite enjoyed it ( Read more... )
