Notes: So erethesunrises has had a terminally average Easter weekend so I decided to write this to cheer her up~ We've been looking at this myth in class so I've been mentally tinkering with the source material (the Homeric Hymn to Demeter) and bending it to fit my own interpretation of the gods and their

Because Persephone/Hades has been my OTP forever~~~ I actually only started shipping H/M because of the RP, hahahaha~

The last line was one of the images I started with in my head and it was JUST TOO PERFECT not to use :D I'm pleased you think it's well-written, I was trying to choose words and phrases really carefully. And omg yes I'd love to write more of these two ♥ ♥ ♥ I just need ideas OTL;;

And yeah, I know what you mean! I'm pretty sure I've been shipping Persephone and Hades since the first time I ever heard the myth (y'know, before I knew what a ship was...), but the PJO Persephone is just so...blegh, and Hades/Maria was so heartbreakingly beautiful and Anya just made that worse, so here we are~

But yes, I think it's an absolutely, perfectly beautiful fic, love ♥ Very nicely done :D

lsdhasdjafkajshfasj omg this idea I love it. And yeah, i pretty much have all the background placed for H/P I just don't know if I'll ever get around to writing it... I think this would probably be one of the only scenes with just them anyway.

Yeah, there's not a lot of room for her development and I was sad about that but I understood why at the same time. I'm also intrigued by the idea of her appearing as a girl in her late teens/early twenties which is why I kinda took what RR had and ran with it. I think it's representative of her existence, stuck between two places, her mum and Hades, marriage and childhood, etc.

Oh, this was beautiful! I love your characterization of Hades; it's perfect! He actually doesn't seem like the PJO version at all, whom I...didn't really fall in love with as much as I wanted to. I like your Persephone too, and I like the way Hades and Persephone interacted! Your writing style is incredible - it's simple, straightforward, and yet manages to carry a lot of depth. And that last line! Just perfect. :D

The characterisation of Hades is erethesunrises's influence. She RPs Hades at demigod_elite and does a fabulous job developing his personality beyond what's given in the books. I'm glad you liked Persephone, too; I've given a lot of thought to her backstory and I hope that comes through.

I'm really pleased you like the writing style too; it's something I was very consciously thinking about (much more so than usual anyway!). I used to over-describe EVERYTHING and I've been trying to strip that back. And the last line is my faaaavourite ♥ I had it in my head from the start :)

I've actually been holding back on these two because I have a little project in mind I'm going to tinker with over summer ;)
