I don't know if I'll ever be ready for a relationship, and it kills me. For a long time, I was confident that I would be an amazing boyfriend to someone, that I would meet someone and be content, that being with someone else would make me happy

why does it seem you always have big problems and your the most awesome guy ever?? :p If I was in this situation, first I'd go over to Jaime and tell him to fuck off. He's not in the relationship anymore and he needs to stop pestering everyone around him. second, YOU need to stop feeling inferior. That's one of the problems I think. You need to step up to the plate and stop feeling that way. You will not get anywhere with anyone you like if you keep feeling inferior to the ex. Step up and show them what YOU can do. Next, I would talk to matt and tell him that you feel inferior towards Jaime and you need to know right now whether friendship or more is what he wants because YOU could make him happy. Show him and tell him that Jamie is scum and your the better boyfriend b/c I KNOW THAT YOU ARE. Love ya Joshy and stop feeling inferior to people your SOOOOO much better than that. :)

i think if you go and talk to jamie that he's going to know you feel threatened by him. don't ever let him think he's got an upper hand on you josh.

you can't make people get over their ex's and you can't keep ex's away from your love interest. you just have to let matt get over jamie in his own way. if you take matters into your own hands, it's only going to rush matt into temporarily getting over him, but he'll never heal completely. or you could piss matt off by saying something to jamie and all will be wasted.

you never contact the ex. you have no right to tell him to fuck off because for all you know it's not a one-sided street.

patience. patience. patience. and if you want him as a boyfriend and he's not ready than you need to be ok with waiting or take some time away from him.
