I have been really impressed at your ability to keep putting one foot in front of the other this difficult past year. I'm not sure I could have done as well.
It is a good sign you have noticed your state. A sign you are coming out and back to more like normal.

Hugs to you, Laramie. Grief doesn't let go easily, or quickly.

I'm thinking your conversation would have helped your co-worker as much as it helped you, showing him he's not alone in what he's going through and someone else understands.

Thanks. He seemed to appreciate being able to vent to someone understanding, but a bit more objective than his immediate circles.

Thanks Laramie. You said it better than I could have. It's been years since my mother died but I'm just now going through boxes and throwing away hundreds of old photos. I can only do about four sets at a time.
I have been so proud of how you have handled these past difficult years. You are mighty!

Thanks, Mary. I'm lucky to have so many siblings that I don't need to sort all the physical stuff myself - you are brave to face all those photos!
