*sigh* ...or you could just shave and skip the drama.
Maybe shaving doesn't work well for everybody? I'm suspicious though: I'd be really surprised to know that my lady bits are the only place I don't have super-sensitive skin.
Supremely funny. I hate ripping off bandaids any place where there is even a LITTLE hair...and my thought has generally been "NOT WORTH IT." However, I thought about a bikini wax - when shaving, I get bad bumps- but I started using "Vreet" hair removal foam, and it works fast and painlessly. Still a bit of itching when the hair starts to grow back (immediately) but less bumps than shaving and I find cortisone cream helps. Good to know about the other repercussions of the brazilian though... :D
I am told that with waxing you tend to avoid the really ugly stubbly bits that seem to pop up. ive been told that they are smoother or some such crap. I believe in shaving. On the other hand, sometimes theres nothing with wild and wooly either :P :P
The ones you get soon after shaving and that stay until hair regrows? Yeah, it's true; I got little red irritated bumps right after waxing (note: NOT Brazilian!), but they went away within a couple of hours. Also it is smoother at first because there's no hair hiding just under the skin surface, unlike in shaving. But it doesn't prevent ingrown hairs, if that's what a person's prone to.
For someone who'd maintain a Brazilian, or even extended bikini, I honestly can't imagine them not going with laser at this point in time unless they truly weren't candidates for it.
