... Holy wow, "The Sight"! <3 I hadn't heard that title in ages. I remember my friends and I all loved that book (and how exciting it was to have a group of people who had all a) read b) the same book c) not by design, and d) all liked it). I still remember loving the line before spoiler spoiler, something like "but between that thought and the other bank, reality stepped in."
And "Memoirs of Cleopatra." I didn't read it cover to cover, but I remember having at it in the library (and having most of my knowledge of Cleopatra for many, many years being largely informed by that book).
Ah, people know about it! I've never heard anyone else mention it so I always thought it was just one of those obscure books. X3 But yay! <3 I remember it did have some really good lines, and I loved the little poems at the beginning of each chapter.
"Memoirs" isn't exactly the most factually correct when it comes to Cleopatra, but I still really like how the author wrote it.
Whereas I was convinced it was actually super popular and Mr. Clement-Davis would become the next bestselling tween writer. TT_TT ANYWAY. But yeah, it's so exciting! Other people know and like this book! :D :D
"Memoirs" was super digestible for me back before I figured out that I actually liked nonfiction too, so that's quite the testament. :)
THE SIGHT! That book. The most unexpected and tear-jerking ending I have ever read. I was emotionally destoryed for a month, at least. Never understood how he could write that. Ahhhh~ but good, very good.
I don't remember if the read the sequel. Let us know how it is? :D
I can't believe people know what book I'm talking about!! This makes me happy. :3 I don't really remember the ending, but I was a child that never really cried when reading things, so the fact that this one did must mean that it was good. XD
*laugh* Whenever I get around to finally reading it. :P
