I googled as it's not a model that's available here, and it looks a fair bit like my Kia Cerato... I've had mine for just over 3 years now and I've never had any trouble with it.

Oh, they DO seem similar! Oh, I'm so glad to hear that you love it so much! And that it is not a trouble-maker! I miss having a car that I adore, and am really feeling hopeful about this one :-D

I'm on the hunt for a car, and I absolutely insist on a manual. Autos are easy as pie, but manuals are fun. Plus, went to all the trouble to learn, not going to waste the skill.

Either way - it's good that you've got a new car now, that is hopefully going to be a reliable little soul, manual or no. *crosses fingers*

I stuck with my "must be a manual" motto for 14 years. This time, though, it was a matter of getting a car that wouldn't fall apart, as quickly and cheaply as possible, before my Dodge's engine blew up. Sadly, the one thing I had to sacrifice was the manual. They aren't common around here, and typically when I go car shopping I have to really hunt the things down. Honestly, my spirit was so broken from the damn Dodge, that I would have taken a tricycle if it had come with a really good warranty.

Good luck with your search!!! Thanks for the finger crossing, and love you icon :-P

For what it's worth, we were given the option of any car in the mid-size lot in Maine over Easter: 4 Chevy Cobalts and a Kia Optima. We took the Optima. Loved it.
