Rec me your favorite software for creating frame-by-frame screecaps of videos, please!! I usually use VLC player for screencapping, but it doesn't seem to be able to do frame-by-frame. I'm looking to be able to make some animated graphics, and want an easy out! Windows-based only please. Shareware is fine. Freeware is better. Payware is a no-go. ( Read more... )

My favourite is the KMPlayer, which does frame by frame capture. You can set the frequency of the capture too which is fab!

Nope. At least it's a food-like product in that one! For a minute there I thought I has posted with this blinking cats one. My response to your question might have been mildly different had that been the case ;-P
