Challenge 05/JF roundup

I think that went rather well. We had a splendid bunch of drabbles of all kinds, a great variety from serious and heartbreaking to, well, not serious. I think there were fifteen pairings, only three of them repeated (it's probably worth noting that the repeated ones were JC/Justin, Kevin/Nick and... Chris/Lamp ( Read more... )

I thought a lot of them implied so much backstory, they said so much more than a hundred words ought to convey.

I love drabbles. And what Lucy said. I was just looking over at boybanddrabbles and wished that there was a comm with weekly drabble prompts again. *hint*

I don't know. I was hoping Pen had some ideas. I would love a new pop drabble comm though. Drabbles are fun.

I haven't done a challenge here before, but I was so inspired by the drabbles I read that I was inspired to write one. I think they all packed a punch, whether they were serious and tragic (Chris/Lamp), or humorous.

It was very interesting to see how much emotion comes across when the prose is that sparse. Though naturally the Cramp ones were the most tragic.

It was a lot easier for me than I expected (though I hated breaking my beloved OTP up), until the last 15 or so words. And in the end, I'm glad I did it because no one else did Brian/Nick! :D

I think it's useful to challenge ourselves by writing about something that's the opposite of what we normally like to do!
