it's just like New Jersey where an attendant swipes your card and pumps your gas at the self-serve pump!Hehe. For all I care you can beat on NJ all you want, cause I do all the time; it's expected when you live there, somehow. But I must admit, my dear, that self-serve gas does not exist ANYWHERE in the state; it's illegal. (Oregon is the only other state with such a law, apparently.) I believe I heard somewhere that the reason has something to do with the way the gas is processed or something? I'm not really sure. My bet is that the state government figures the inhabitants are too stupid/incapable of dealing with the task on their own

Why were you there? I've always wondered why anyone would want to visit - other than to see family. There's very little to DO in the state itself. To me, it's just a place where the people who commute to work in Philly or NYC live (even though both my parents have jobs in-state) because it's too expensive to live in those locations (plus, we are a little more suburban, I suppose, so it's attractive for families =/ ).

The NJ pump law baffles many. However, it's a wonderful excuse when you do have to fill up your own tank when traveling and don't appear to know what you are doing. XD
