[And for those that missed the initial return of a fish yesterday, you'll find him on the quieter, more secluded stretch of beach the island offers. He seems to have quite a bit on his mind still, so you might have to work a little to get his attention if you want to find out why and/or where he's been.]

[It's still a little surprising to see you, even after running into your Rain and your Mist. As well as that whole. Final battle intervention. butwedon'ttalkaboutthatwtferyifitcanbehelped.]

[He didn't expect to run into the younger Decimo, but he's not entirely taken by surprise. At any rate he's standing at your side, gazing out at the ocean. It really seemed hard to tell whatever he might have been thinking.]

". . . Something on your mind?"

...A few things. [He drops his gaze a moment, considering where to start. He figures he'll provide you with a bit of backstory first.]

Did you ever meet a man named Byakuran here?

" . . I have encountered him once." [There was a delicate frown on his lips at the thought. Sure, the man hadn't necessarily done anything, but he had put Giotto on edge regardless. He got that feeling that he was about to find out why.]

Vongola was at war, in my older self's time. Things were falling apart--my older self had supposedly been killed, and Byakuran was hunting down the rest of the Vongola...

[His tone is neutral, just recounting facts at the moment, but he still frowns deeply as he goes on.]

Plus, the rings had been destroyed to keep him from getting his hands on them, so it was even more of a disadvantage... At least until we started switching places with the older Guardians.

[. . .Ah, yes. This could have explained that unsettling feeling that Byakuran had given him. The very slight frown was still on his lips as he listen, but other than that he didn't give too much of an indication that the thought bothered him. It probably could be guessed, of course, as the thought of one's Famiglia being in such a state would naturally be cause of concern.]

". . .So your older selves brought you to the future, thinking that with the rings the war could be turned in the Vongola's favour?"

Mm, though it might've been a matter of time before we ended up there, anyway... Byakuran was trying to find a way to make it happen.
