So I signed up for severe weather alerts from The Weather Channel after being disappointed by similar offerings by a local news station. I set up my BlackBerry email with it and my Berry beeped a second before my weather radio sounded. Love it.

do you have to pay for the Weather Channel on your Blackberry?

You have to pay to use their app, but not for the e-mail alerts.
