I get occasional explosions in my head, as well. A recent development in my slow, steady decline into dotteringhood. I only get it while lying down and or sleeping and it scares the crap out of me. I am mildly surprised that my sleepmate does not hear it, too.

Yes, exactly! It happens as you are falling asleep, about when you'd have that falling feeling, doesn't it? It surprises me now but it doesn't scare me.

But I've had it for years; since I was 40 or so. That must have been the beginning of dotterage for me.

My decline happened about um... 40 something. Fuck me but it sucked to turn that age. It was wierd, I just flipped on a dime. Next thing I know my daughter hates me and my husband doesn't care for me anymore. Well, I have to say that little scenario was my own diong.
