I couldn't help notice that the livejournal has become a lightly trodden path these days, as I suppose our attentions have been pulled in various other directions.  (Ahem, facebook.)  Darren seems to be the only one making regular visits, posting periodic updates about the Cavs.  Steev stops by at long but even intervals to talk about his favorite ( Read more... )

from least to most:

Family Ties
Hill Street Blues
Welcome Back, Kotter
Greatest American Hero
Cheers
M*A*S*H
WKRP In Cincinnati

As for one substitution, I choose Quantum Leap to take the place of Family Ties - as i never really did like that theme song. It was HARD putting these in order because I like all the shows, especially the top three.

I've got leave out Hill Street Blues because I never watched it. So here's the rest, best to worst:

M.A.S.H.
WKRP
Cheers
Welcome Back, Kotter
Family Ties

...this is based just on the theme songs, not on the shows themselves, and so for pure stupid brilliance I have to nominate the theme to the It's Gary Shandling's show as one of the all-time best: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ac8cQuEzDCQ

though you probably didn't watch the show. No one did.

I fucking watched that show. I must have been 14 or something. I don't remember much except this line to Jeff Goldblum: "He's a huge fan of yours -- he's seen almost all of Transylvania 6-5000."

nice choice of theme song. a classic.
