Oh gosh yeah, we have a surprising number of conventions in NH but they're pretty "mainstream"-oriented. Here's a comic I drew at one of them (sorry, the asterisk in panel 4 doesn't lead anywhere - this was before I was hip to just using an ellipsis):

I wish more rabbits came to the table asking for carrots, though - it doesn't make us any more money, but it's pretty awesome!

Yeah, I just don't relate to the collectors at all. There was this one middle aged pudgy guy who kept coming to my table trying to strike up a conversation (he thought I was cute or I reminded him of someone, or something), but he was so stuck in the Marvel Universe that we couldn't relate about anything. He eventually bought the cheapest thing on my table as a last ditch effort, turned red and left.
