The weather's a bit nicer today, so he's playing outside by the mikan tree. Oh, not at all. It can be a bit difficult to find a baby whale disturbing, especially when it's all on it's own. ((And he was just so cute))

We were never really certain how he came to be on his own, besides that at some point he must have been separated from his mother. [He hopes he wasn't abandoned - perhaps the mother had died]

It's not a common one. I'm not enitrely certain if it was even considered a name until that point. But it seemed to fit him.

He did! Better than I would have expected, even. I can say without a shadow of a doubt that he knew his name. [For a whale, Laboon never had much trouble understanding people though]
