Ours are quite similar to the ones in Luceti, actually. Only they don't talk.

He is! [He wasn't expecting that thought to pop up over the journals, but luckily he doesn't mind at all. Laboon~]

A bit, when he needed it. He mostly followed my old crew around as we sailed.

I see! Although that must have been disturbing when he first started. . .

Oh, not at all. It can be a bit difficult to find a baby whale disturbing, especially when it's all on it's own. ((And he was just so cute))

I suppose that's true.

And he really is cute. I'm surprised he'd be left to himself.

We were never really certain how he came to be on his own, besides that at some point he must have been separated from his mother. [He hopes he wasn't abandoned - perhaps the mother had died]

I did - his name is Laboon.

Laboon-I don't think I've heard a name like that before.

It's not a common one. I'm not enitrely certain if it was even considered a name until that point. But it seemed to fit him.

Well, it must have been good if he took to it!

He did! Better than I would have expected, even. I can say without a shadow of a doubt that he knew his name. [For a whale, Laboon never had much trouble understanding people though]
