Wow, I hate to be a cranky ol' american twit. Well, fuck it..I am. However, burning man is eff'ing lame my friend. In my opinion that is...it's become more a circus'ized excuse for "suits and ties" to have a reason to dress "crazy" and act like fools for a weekend. Kinda lame IMO.
100% completed agreed. Burning Man was great like, 10 years ago. Now it's a joke. Kinda like Woodstock '94, vs. the original Woodstock. Or Laollapalooza 1st couple of years vs. what it became. People here in SF gab on and on and on and on and on and on about how fucking amazing it is and blah blah blah. Meantime, what used to be a free event now costs an arm and a leg, has been a hipster tourist hotspot, and is over-run by people who only act liek freaks when it's far, far removed from the view of their 9-5 accounting jobs. I'm sure you'll have a good time, regardless, but don't go there expecting this amazing counterculture experience. It's just a bunch of obnoxious people is 100 degree heat running around on meth and ecstacy.
