your edit made me O_O.

why would they REVERSE quality on ToG-F to put it on the wii? that's just illogical and a waste of everyone's time/money. as far as putting it on the 360, also a bit of a waste of programing time/money. people hurt my brain :/

*starts a rumor*
TALES OF INNOCENCE ON WII!

If you read their arguments, they think that porting is something easily done because "coding is similar", "would not cost much because they already have engineers/programmers" and various other BS. People sure have no grasp on programming and marketing aspects. :/

I get the feeling that what happened to Scott Pilgrim vs the World will happen to Tales of Graces F: more fan hype than actual people buying the game.

Do you mean the Scott Pilgrim game or the movie that did poorly? Can't talk about the film, but I heard the game turned out to be horribly buggy and maybe that scared people away.

The lack of online multiplayer probably didn't help. Unless they patched that. When I played it, though, it only had local co-op multiplayer.

I meant the movie. The San Diego Comic-Con had strong and positive reactions from people, and in the end the movie flopped at the box office beyond expectations. The game did better.

Well, I also think some of the responsibility falls upon Namco Bandai. Wasn't Symphonia advertised better than any Tales game that come out here after that? I mean, I know it was also an RPG on a system that terribly lacked them.

I think it's possible for Graces to do moderately well. I just think it'll require a combination of fan interest, Namco putting actual effort into marketing it and not releasing it close to some other competing title, and luck.

And yeah, I get sick of people coming up with stupid ideas like ports to their console of choice and then backing up their claim with some BS. Reminds me of when Symphonia fans started arguing that Abyss wouldn't have flopped if Namco had ported it to the Game Cube. Riiiiight.
