i think i'm going to have some free time in the first week of may. i used to have this plan of randomly touring karnataka. and despite the heat, i think this would be a good time to do it. also, given that it's election time, I think i can get lots more insights from my proposed tour ( Read more... )

You think you can do grassroots level work? I mean we are speaking about heat, sweat, mud, borewell water, etc. At least, I wouldn't do it alone. It is different if it becomes a touristy thing with a bunch of friends.

I guess you could approach small newspapers, news / travel websites.

I don't have any suggestions to offer in particular, but maybe you should attend some election rallies and treat yourself to some free "haLli saaraayi"

Google street view for Karnataka.
Instead of Bengaluru photo-walk, you can do photo-"car trip" all over Karnataka. Get a driver and vandi sponsored by Google and share photos when you are back.
