Actually - the entire bidding process seems to have gotten to the teams - with players earning more than they ever deserved. And there seems to be some kind of sampling error - when it comes to International players up for auction.
Some international players who could have been better utility than those on offer -
1. James Hopes
2. Jamie How
3. Ross Taylor
4. Lou Vincent
5. Upul Tharanga
6. Wavell Hinds
7. Dwayne Bravo
8. Dwayne Smith
9. Denesh Ramdin
10. Justin Kemp (has he put ICL?)
I am sure there are more.
Players like Loots Bosmann, Katich and Jaffer are certainly worse off than most of these players. Now with a better sample of international cricketers - Indian players would have been held on to better by their home states for lesser amounts.
