Last night, some people passed by our apartment door, talking quietly. Kitty did what many dogs do when strangers pass by the front door: she started barking.

This was the first time we'd ever heard Kitty bark. She was loud.

when we first got our dog she didnt bark for the first few days. we thought she was retarded. once she got the courage to bark, we couldn't shut her up :)
