Tomorrow my friend Karen is coming to visit. I was talking to Susannah today, and I said something about how I love Karen because she comes to NYC every fall just for a weekend, and totally by herself. Now that the boyfriend's long gone, I can never find a weekend where I can spend four hours (hours!) in the car, spend all that money on gas, and who knows what else - just for a lunch with my girlfriends and their babies in Richmond.
