I have written a scene to start a new story. I started by writing a sentence or two. Then I asked myself a question and answered it two different ways, writing a sentence or two for the answers. I did this and ended up with four questions, which led me to write 16 versions of the scene. I narrowed the versions down to the four I like best, and now
