I agree with you man. Its one of those things that is totally loaded. Valentine's Day can actually be very harmful. I have learned that no matter what a girl says she wants something too.

Yeah, and it also serves as an excuse to give something special once to make up for practically ignoring her the rest of the year; and some women accept that. Having one day to be the special one gives people an excuse to not do special things at other times, because they're not special days. It also becomes a day of her friends asking what he will do for her and passing judgement on whether the special thing is good enough.
Any woman who dates me will have to accept that I probably won't do anything typical on February 14th, or anything unusual in the week before or after it, unless there's a good deal on flowers in that window. I don't want to lend legitimacy to the commercialism.

you are right, the spontaneous aspect is taken away and in a lot of cases dies, which in turns causes problems down the road. also girls don't like being broken up with on this day, and their birthdays, women. :P

Christ's birth and resurrection ought to be celebrated daily, but that doesn't make honoring a Christmas or Easter a harmful thing. Yes, some women (and men) won't be loved as well as they should be (dare I say none will be?) Christ said there will always be poor among us.

But you are right, the lack of love that women recieve is startling.

I don't hate Christmas or Easter, I just hate the 14th of February.

Blessings.
