thanks for the concise and clear answer joel! what kind of cross bike are you getting? im not much of a race person either, i prefer long distance, but i do like the more compact geometry of this bike.

You're a lot more ambitious than I am at this point. But it's the direction I'm going in. Have just fallen in love with bikes as machines, transportation, and sculpture. Your new cross bike sounds awesome, i want pics.
