Yay! France played a GORGEOUS game! You must be thrilled!

Also, got your postcard, thanks! And the answer to your question is: three of the guys who play for Ghana play in the Israeli league. He was just showing his support/love to people watching him, because Ghana was the popular favorite in Israel.

Man, what a game. It was amazing. I'm very excited (and nervous) about Brazil. I hope you're cheering for France! :)

Thanks for the heads up on the Ghanaians - I'd figured it was something like that, it just caught me a little off-guard when I saw it.

Ha! I'm excited (and nervous) about France. I'm still rooting for Brazil. While I may know one GIANT ASSHOLE from Brazil, the country was in my heart long before I knew Luiz - my brother in law is Brazilian. And has been watching soccer at our house since I was 13... I'm hooked on Brazil, man.

GOOD LUCK, SUCKERS!

Brazil can play some beautiful football but they're such overdogs that I can't ever cheer for them. I don't want them to win a 6th world cup - that's just no fun! I'd really hoped a team that had never won it before would come through this year but the two most likely teams (Czech Republic and Spain) are both gone...

Brazil are definitely favourites going into the game and I don't harbour great hopes of a France victory but anything's possible on the day and I'll be in the France end, singing and chanting and cheering my heart out. (And I'll probably be really sad at the end).
