... to look at buying a Diabolo, where should I go?

I'm aware of Oddballs in Camden, but suspect they may charge me quite a lot (feel free to correct me if this is false). I'm currently looking at buying online, but I'm not sure where to start. Recommendations?

What I should have done is bought one at the juggling shop in Reading. I realise ( Read more... )

Oddballs don't seem hugely overly priced to me. I shopped around for juggling stuff for Rik and the prices were all much of a muchness, with oddballs having much more of a variety. I did everything online too.

The final day of Wintereenmas is Jan 31st, afaik.

I've not found Oddballs to be particularly expensive - and given that they're right there in Camden with an actual shop where you can go and play with all the toys (for hours, and then leave without buying anything, regularly), I would tend to prefer to buy anything they stock from them, even if it is a few quid more than I could get it for online.

They have a huge variety of diabolos, so I would assume that they'd have something that was a reasonable compromise between price and quality, whatever your price point is. Also, you'll get good advice there.

Oh well, we've extended it slightly then... I R a busy girl ;-)

Thanks for the advice - I'm starting to think I really do need to go there! Plus, as you say, trying stuff out wins... :-)

I'd recommend Oddballs for good advice and being able to actually look at stuff and have a try before you buy. They often let you stand outside and play with stuff. I've been buying stuff from them for over 10 years since before they moved to Camden from Oxford.

They even adjusted the weights on my clubs for me so they are better for swinging. :)

I've not had any problems with Oddballs either (other than actually using the stuff), and they don't seem particularly overpriced.

If you want another option, http://www.homeofpoi.com are pretty good. And surprisingly quick at delivering, considering that they're in NZ.
