I've seen a lot of comments around from people wanting a remix challenge, but I don't think one has ever been officially put together. I'm all for one, as long as it doesn't stir up the wank like the SGA one did. :|

From what I remember, people were very up-in-arms about their stories being "rewritten", which...isn't really the point of the challenge? I think a lot of it was just people not completely understanding rules.

I believe there is plenty of interest in a bandom remix, it just hasn't been organized yet. disarm_d and zarah5 were working on one, but I don't know if they've dropped that project or not.

oooo, that would be awesome if they hosted one! I'm pretty horrible at organizing challenges but I'd do it if no one else was up to it.

I am following your Prisoner rec and just uploaded the whole thing onto my ereader (she has a webpage with all of the stuff in one file, if you'd rather read it that way). I hope I like it, because it looks like there's so much other stuff on there!

trolling delicious original tags I stumbled on her - I've read Wolf Given and Seventh Son by her this week, too, and they're really amazingly enjoyable :) It's so tough to find good original fic!

A bandslash remix would be fun! I used to do them in HP and really enjoyed doing them and what came out of them.
