Not!Fic: The Blue Castle

So, um, these are just a little bit addicting. They're like awesome writing exercises! Another LM Montgomery gem - what should I take on next? Kilmony of the Orchard? Emily of Blue Moon? Another Anne snippet? Any requests? Just a note on what I deem not!fic: a story that's not fully realized and also where the premise or plot is not mine. ( Read more... )

i have the best ideas, the academy is..., not!fic, completed stories, panic! at the disco, bandslash

Oh, Spencer Smith!

I've never read this book, but the time period is very suited for those Panic! boys- probably because they dress like they're from that period. It's ok, Ryan Ross; you look fabulous with ruffles and roses anyway.

Write more of these, please. THEY ARE THE BEST THING EVER. I love The Blue Castle, and this version of Spencer and Jon, and oh, William, are inutterably cute.

I never read this book, or any Montgomery -- although I do have Anne of Green Gables kicking around my parents' house somewhere -- but I did read lots of fairy tales in high school. So after Jon said "don't go into the back shed" I was TERRIFIED that this was a re-telling of Bluebeard and Spencer was gonna end up DEAD. The romantic ending is even sweeter against that expectation, which, I mean, it's pretty sweet anyway. (Oh, Jon. Oh, *Spencer*!)

So I just laughed for about five minutes over the thought of Jon killing Spencer, because that would be awesome. Can you imagine all this floweryness and then BAM, dead in the shed. Hee. Actually, I think in the actual Blue Castle book, she makes a reference to the shed being very Bluebeard-like, so WIN! *beams* anyway, thank you! I'm so glad you enjoyed this :)
