I think plurk is filling the lj void for me. . .and I like it 'cause so many more people are on it responding instantaneously.

this is very true. it's like a chatroom without the creepy guy asking your age and what you're wearing

i hear you. i've wanted to just delete everything these past couple weeks, to no longer be reminded of all this shit. i won't do it, i never have. Not in ten years of blogging. OD did it for me, and i miss having that. i think i'd miss this.

i know what you mean. it's like deleting a part of you; the journey that led you to where you are today. it's nearly impossible to even think of deleting my journal... i actually archived my OD. i have 4 floppy disks full of entries cause i had 3 diff ODs over the course of 2 years (eek that's crazy to think about)

hopefully, i can archive my lj. i would be so upset if it was suddenly just gone with no back up at all :(

Yeah, sometimes it seems very very wrong to get rid of it, and sometimes it seems like all i want to do is just cross everything out in black and throw it at the wall.

i had a lot of OD name changes (emma drama; she always found it somehow and it was my crazy talk and self-injury stuff) but i think they were ultimately all the same one. i was really sad to find out it was gone, but mostly sad about the notes.

there's a thing that lets you make your lj into a book; you should check that out.

I now find myself too lazy to write more than 100 symbols (or whatever it is that plurk allows). But I am back to writing a real paper journal each night- which is relaxing. Though I picture my future children reading it and thinking "my god this is boring". I write about what I ate for dinner, etc, etc. Better a boring life than a drama filled one though, I suppose :)

I've been thinking about that...I have a randomness journal that includes things like, "I love the smell of hose water on hot pavement" and "My favorite photo album is entitled "I'm that Shady Drunk in the Background of All Your Photos" by Sarah Bay (haha...I laugh just thinking about it). It's not chronological or anything...just as things/memories pop into my head. I am actually really afraid of forgetting things from happy, early life.
I need to write more in it, though.
