Kitteh is Love (and other userpics)

I've been trying lately to update my userpic collection because I have less than half of the free slots filled, and that seems wrong. I want my userpics to cover a wide array of moods and themes, while also being unique to me. Since I got my new laptop last month, with its built in camera, this manifests itself in lots of self portraits (albeit ( Read more... )

I have to be honest here too; I feel a bit weird when people have multiple icons of themselves. Even though they have their utility. Also because they generally don't look as good as icons from screencaps and celebrity pictures.

I choose my icons based on whether I like them for any number of reasons (pretty, evocative, funny, framed well, etc) and anticipated practicality of usage. There are some great icons that I don't use because I don't know how or why I would use them to complement my comments or posts.

Interesting. I feel like using celeb pics is wrong for me even though I don't really mind other people doing it. I do have some userpics that aren't of me, but they have to be pictures I took, or something equally personal. I realize that celeb pics are personal to a lot of people, especially when they are modified with text, but I just dunno. I confess I am fully planning on keeping all of the pics of myself that I currently have, so hopefully that doesn't weird you out too much.

I'm lazy and...don't care enough? I've started putting up pics on my facebook though. It seems to cry out for it more somehow. Maybe because it is implicitly socially oriented whereas my blog doesn't require an audience? Anyway, I love any pics you care to show us.

Huh. I have a facebook account, but I really don't put effort into it. it's just a placeholder so that if random people come looking for me there I am. Also a couple of old friends use it almost exclusively for communication, so I end up writing messages to them there. As for pictures, though, there's one I put up originally and then mostly things people tagged me in.

I guess I feel like my journal is more social, because I have wider and more personal interactions here.

I totally associate you with Faith. To the point where it confuses me when other people use Faith icons. I am like, "But... that's MOI!"

I have to say, though, this Sparkle Motion one makes me dance with glee every time I see it.
