I seem to recall that CLAMP kind of phoned in the art on Angelic Layer, from the chapters I saw. But maybe it was fixed in the collected version.
Chibi Vampire the Novel is there because I liked Chibi Vampire the manga.
I think Hetalia exploded because of the yaoi fangirls, and the cosplayers. (To the disgruntlement of creepy male fans who much prefer the tiny skirt style of cosplay.) Scandinavia and the World is indeed better.
Kekkaishi has baking? Might need to look that one up, especially if it has recipes.
Read the last couple of volumes worth of Nura thanks to online Shonen Jump--it was struggling by then.
Next shelf is "art" so has slightly different books than the usual from me.

I can't remember, but I did quite enjoy the series.

Not recipes, it's not a central theme, but the main character is the guardian of a sacred site who also wants to be a chef as a big goal in his life. Early on one of his cases involves meeting the ghost of a chef and thus asks him for advise.
Oh, and you know how a lot of these supernatural series have a 'the characters never use their powers in day to day life, just in their mission' thing? Yea, this one... doesn't. He'll use his powers around the kitchen, or to help him obtain a spot in line to get a cake from a famous bakery. Subtly, he does hide them, but he'll still abuse them a bit ^^
