How would you categorize wishes granted in your imagination? Maybe this doesn't address the issue of the wish granter, rather the wish. In Rubber-Dubbers, the character say "If only [wish goes here]" and then they are magically transported into an imaginary situation where they will learn a lesson about their wish. As soon as they pop into the new situation, they exclaim "Hey, I said 'if only' and here I am [fill in the wish]."
