So I got some UT fleece (argyle- it's adorable) to make Elsa a dog jacket (yes, it really is THAT cold, she cries outside, no matter how much she begs to go out) from Joanns online. They had free shipping. We also bought some candy molds

That's ok, your lj becoming a knitty journal suits my purposes right now.
my sister-in-law just started knitting. She's done a hat already and is working on a scarf (I share this so you'll grasp her skill level?).
Anyway, is there a good knitters gift I could get her? like a subscription to a knitty magazine or a yarn-of-the-month club? some tool that every knitter needs to have, but only learns of it after they've found the knitting community?

oh- and on the needle set- I have the Denise ones and they are fantastic, but the knitpicks ones weren't available at that time. I prefer wood needles so would go with their Harmony ones if choosing now...
