I watch exactly two sitcoms that are on the air: How I Met Your Mother and Community. I'm still most of this season behind in Community, and had been putting off watching more, because of an episode relating to a main character's parent dying. I may just skip it, or come back to it in a few weeks, but not right now. Flynn was feeling extra sad

*hugs* I remember Andy and I turning to Buffy eps that we *knew* were funny after his dad died (Beer Bad is his episode of choice for that) - and, equally, bawling over episodes of sitcoms that unexpectedly touched a nerve.

Ye-e-eah. I used to watch ER till the season of Dr Green's brain tumor -- been there, did that, *so* didn't need the rerun.

I couldn't watch Alex Kingston in anything for years because she played his wife. Fortunately, I've gotten over that.
