sometimes i think i'm growing up too fast. jene is married, tj is driving a motorcycle around, and i'm living in new york city just like i always said i would. but today jene and i (but mostly jene) came up with a song she can sing while she uses her prized mixer. it's to the tune of "caress me down" by sublime and it came about because i asked ( Read more... )

Handheld mixer?!?! You haven't lived until you've baked with a KitchenAid Professional 5 Series.

I kid, I kid, a handheld served me well for the last 25 years.

Haha! I would LOVE to have a Professional 5 Series, but maybe I should just look into buying some dough hook attachments first.

My parents have had the same mixer and blender since they got married back in the 70's - both of which are still alive, kicking, and a lovely shade of avocado. (The appliances, not my parents.)

I super puffy heart my dough hook. I'm never going to need to own another mixer. Or an ice cream maker. Or a pasta roller. Or a grinder. Or a juicer. Or a shredder. Or a sausage stuffer, if I ate sausage.

I'm glad your parents aren't avacadoes.
