Okay, I've watching Series 1 and 2 again and I have a question. The taxi driver from Cassie's episode in Series 1, and Adam from her episode in Series 2 were they both figments of her imagination?
I'm pretty sure the taxi driver is real, because he serves a purpose. Cassie had to get to the clinic somehow. Cassie claims there is a taxi, and her parents acknowledged that, so we know that was real. And therefore, there had to be a taxi driver. To me, it makes sense that he was real. I don't know about Adam, though. Who else in the story substantiates his character? I don't think any other character acknowledge him in a significant way. I think he was real, he I wouldn't be surprised either way.
I always kind of assumed they were real, but now you mention it, hmm...hard to tell. I think the characters themselves were probably real, but maybe not all their actions/sentiments that we saw through Cassie's eyes...hard to know though. Ahhhh now I really want to know for sure! Confused me almost as much as Tony's episode in Series 2 did... Skins is such a frustrating show, I love it but gahhhhh :)
Though, actually, there's been a lot less of the crazy with the new gen., hasn't there? But that's a whole different kerfuffle so yes, to summarise: I don't know ;)

As for Alan, I think he actually existed, but whether or not he was actually there and telling her to eat that cheeseburger is totally up in the air.
