I myself have never been able to feel ovulation, but I could totally tell when it was happening/about to happen just based on other signs and such. Crazy hormones! Haha

To be fair, it's not to the point where I'm like, "Dooo, doo, doo...oh! The egg has just been released." *lol* It's all the hormones and such that exude that, "Hello, world! I'm a Fertile Myrtle right NOW!" feeling.
