There's certain things a person should never be forced to go through again. Even if you can't feel your legs ripped away, the memory will fill in the blanks well enough.

Well, sort of. I tried to play god, I attempted a ritual I knew from the start was strictly forbidden. I was arrogant about it, thinking I could do it because I was desperate enough to try it. My punishment was my left leg being taken from me. It's been replaced by a prosthetic, but needless to say, it doesn't compare to a flesh-and-blood limb.
Deck sixteen. Whatever you do, do not open the doors. I don't know how many of them will have the same effect as the one I came across. They show you... things. Things that happened to you long ago that you never want to live through again.
