Book-references and the month of fasting.

I've had a trainee teacher in my English class for the past few months. She was a lot of fun, and definitely different than the other teachers. I mean, she has a copy of the One Ring which she wears around her neck! Tarsha and I went into a sort of fangirlish excitement when we saw it. xD And get this ( Read more... )

And I'm assuming this good bazaar food and cookies are for after sundown? Since it's the month of fasting?

Yup, all for after sundown. The bazaar usually starts a few hours beforehand, like at 4 or something. And it's always packed with people, and the smell of food is SO good. Best part of fasting month. ^^

That sounds like so much fun! I'm Catholic, so we have fish fries on Fridays (because Catholics technically aren't supposed to eat meat on Fridays -- it's our lame version of fasting). The fish fries are okay, but they don't sound nearly as good as these bazaars!

Ooh, I didn't know about that. The fish fries and all that, I mean. ^^ I haven't eaten fish fries in ages ... *puts on list of things to eat soon* Strange, you'd think fasting would make you lose weight, but we're all putting weight will all the food we're eating after sunset. xD
