Professor Snape stands on the dais in the dungeon classroom, watching as the dismissed students leave hastily, eager to get away, just as eager, no doubt, as he is to be rid of them. All except one . . .
"Miss Granger. A word with you."

What does the greasy git want? He had better not be giving her a detention or something--she didn't do anything that could have possibly gotten her into trouble.
He taps her on the shoulder, his eyebrows furrowed, and whispers, "We'll be waiting right outside for you."
He didn't want her to have to walk anywhere alone. Even if it meant he and Harry might have to deal with Malfoy and his cronies while they waited.
Of course, that was all the more reason to wait. SO they wouldn't catch her alone.

He glances up when he sees a flash of shimmery robes in the entrance to the classroom, and immediately grows silent.

He's glad he and Harry are going about things like normal.
Even if he doesn't like what they're both worrying over.
"You reckon she's doing some secret thing like with the timeturner? But with potions or something?"

"...Professor, there's another teacher that...that did something bad," Ron says lamely.
