Felix has quite been enjoying his stay in the Mansion so far. Though it's starting to itch at him. There are things to do back at the Mirador. Though he has a bitter moment of wondering if anyone's missed him. It passes quickly

Steerpike is there as well, not too far, thinking of a million things as he sifts through books of history and politics. He wants to know who he is. He's got to be mentionned somewhere.

"I'm sorry sir, what are you doing?" Slightly panicking.

"Trying something," Felix says tartly, and distractedly, already drawing on the floor. "It's simple enough. And likely won't work, but..."

"I'm sorry, sir, is that magic?" and he's panicking a little more, and yes, moving away.

Because Laurel told him things and he worships her.

Felix looks up, blinks, startled, frowning. "Yes, but it's not going to hurt you, you dolt. Hold still."

"What is it going to do to me?"

He's likely to not submit to it until he's getting an explanation.

"I want to see if I can find your memories."

Terror. "No. Please."

A blink. "What?"

"I..." he pauses. "I'm afraid of remembering, sir."

There's a pause, and then the chalk vanishes and he takes a step back. "I see."

That, Felix understands.

"Thank you, sir." He pauses, looks at Felix more closely.

That's a flicker of recognition in his eye.

Felix examines him. "What shall I call you, then?"

He hesitates. Then goes for what feels right with this man.

"Sylvio."

[skewedeyes]

"Sylvi-" A pause. Felix frowns, and looks at him again. "Odd. Sylvio it is."

He remembers a boy by that name. Coincidence, perhaps.
