Yes, CST is back in action! I have several excuses for the delay: I had trouble writing this chapter for who-knows-what-reason, my beta disappeared on me and I spent way too long waiting to hear back from her before asking someone else to take over for this chapter, I was busy, etc. But now we're back!

Yay! Finally you update! I'd honestly completely forgotten, but you totally made my evening with this chapter (and allowed me to procrastinate on my sociology term paper a little longer).

Anyway, good chapter, I especially liked the part about the song Basan and Zafirah were singing. Did you happen to have any particular tune in mind when you wrote that? I just watched the Prince of Egypt yesterday, and parts of the soundtrack were going through my head there.

Also, little nitpick: did you mean Aquila, as in the Latin word for eagle? I just wanted to make sure you hadn't misspelled anything.

Thanks! Not any one song in particular, but I guess this would be a song that would work here. It's actually a Hawaiian chant. Which is funny since they're in a desert. 8D

There are a lot of tracks from the Prince of Egypt soundtrack on my playlist for this fic, though. (Speaking of which, OMG I love that soundtrack so much. "When You Believe" makes me teary-eyed every time I listen to it.)

Nope. :) Aqila's an Arabic word, as are all of my Sandbender names. Except for Shai, which is Hebrew. Thanks for the nitpick, though. It's nice to know my readers are looking out for me.
