Spiders are underrated, I think. They really have been designed very well, and yet most people just squash them or feed them to snakes or something of the like ( Read more... )

My, what a big sword. Is his sword meant to look that blue? That looks an unsafe way to handle a sword. You'd think he'd injure his hand. ...enough about the sword already.

>>Been staying at the Opera House for a bit, actually.<<

Surprise, surprise. Not.

Insane, need you ask?

If you here screams and thuds, ignore 'em. I'll have killed the sopranos.

Of course spiders are beautiful creatures. All creatures are beautiful in their own way. Even wolpertinges and duckbilled platypusses.

Some are more beautiful to our skewed perception, like butterflies or llamas, but they're all really worth looking at. I think I'll go to the menagerie today...

What's wrong with platypusses? I think they are rather quite adorable creatures.

Of course our perception is skewed, society has its bais, and we cannot but pick it up even subconciously.

Oh, there's nothing at all wrong with platypusses. They're very good at being platypusses. Most people don't think them very beautiful, though, but merely extremely hilarious.

As for the bias about animals, I think we look at them from a human-shaped point of view: if traits they have remind of us certain traits humans could have or not, we like them or don't. Butterflies are colourful like sweet-smelling flowers, so we like them; llamas have fluffy wool, thin dainty legs and huge pretty eyes, so we like them. And some animal, like dogs and cats and horses, we like because they're so useful to us, and others we hate because we think they're not, like snkaes and bats and spiders.

They are beautiful animals. Enough said.

Butterflies are creepy, Ilamas are admittedly rather pretty, but snakes are also very beautiful creatures.
